A selection of poems by the poet Karmelo C. Iribarren was illustrated. The illustrations were created using paper as a base, with shapes and cutouts made from it. Playing with light and shadow also contributed to the final results. This approach captures a personal aesthetic that can be as simple as manipulated paper, and also ensures that the illustrations don’t interfere too much with the poems themselves.
The chosen format for the poetry collection is a fanzine style, making it more manageable and accessible, and also allowing for the creation of a poster.
